Creamery Bridge Reconstruction Progress in April
WGN 45-06-09
 |
South Portal View - April 9, 2009
The bridge roofing, siding, and superstructure is complete. Abutment and approach work remains to be done. Work is paused waiting for road conditions to allow heavy equipment access to the site. |
 |
Viewing north through the bridge. Note the new upper chord members, the web sistering on the east truss, and the new tie beam. A strong effort has been made to keep original fabric, but some original members were found to be no longer able to function. See also the addition of curb rails, not part of the original design. |

View of the bridge from the Hill West Road end (north) of Creamery Bridge Road. The new siding and roof replace elements that have been renewed often since the original build. |

To keep an original tie beam, the rotted ends are spliced. |
