Located near a gravel quarry, the Coburn Bridge's queenpost truss was tested by heavy loads for many years. The wooden deck was replaced in 1972 with a self-supporting concrete slab. Unique for its hand-worked timbers, the old truss was renovated in the winter of 1996-97.
